On 17 September 2021, UMANG-2021 was inaugurated. Shri Charanjit Charan Ji (Hindi Poet and Urdu Poet) and Shri Amit Kumar Azad Ji (Poet and Alumni of Batch 2015) were present as chief guests of the inaugural function. We started the ceremony with the speech of the president of our club followed by the speech of our faculty advisor, Dr. Jitraj Saha. Umang 2021 was carried forward with the prayers of the almighty. The chief guests explained the importance of Hindi through their poems and praised us through many short stories. They described Hindi as the most gratifying language among the languages spoken across the world. We organized the event on Google Meet which was attended by more than 150 people. Apart from this, the chief guests also extended their best wishes for the event and the future.
For those who think of movies as more than a moving series of images and who don't hesitate to hum their favorite song anywhere, 'Bluff-Master' brings some moments full of excitement and fun. The first phase of this competition was held on September 18, 2021. The top 6 teams from all the participating teams were selected to participate in the final stage (2 participants in each team). The second phase of this competition was held on September 24, 2021. There were a total of 8 questions and they were questioned verbally and visually.
There were three types of questions in this competition -
India Quiz - To determine the knowledge of the participants questions related to general knowledge, Indian History, Current Affairs etc were asked in this event.
Cricket Quiz - In this event questions related to rules of cricket and important events were asked.
Bollywood Quiz - Cinema is the best way to promote any language because of its great charm. Questions related to Bollywood were asked in this event.
The competition had two phases in which the first phase was held on September 18, 2021 and the last phase held on September 25, 2021. The top 6 teams from all the participating teams were selected to participate in the final stage (2 participants in each team). Only the teams selected on a trial basis were called for the final stage which was a stage presentation. It was a very popular event among the students of all the colleges. This certainly increases the reach of Hindi as a language, in our campus
It is a puzzle (logical question, quantitative type questions, etc.) based event. It had two phases (first and last). Chakravyuh (1st phase) was held on September 19, 2021. The top 6 teams from all the participating teams were selected to participate in the final stage (2 participants in each team). The second phase was conducted on September 26, 2021, consisting of 5 rounds with different rules. All questions were shown on the screen.
Through this competition it is tested how deep one's knowledge is in Hindi literature and language formation. It had two phases (first and last). The first phase was conducted on September 19, 2021. The top 6 teams from all the participating teams were selected to participate in the final stage (2 participants in each team). The final phase of this competition was held on 25 September 2021. The questions asked were based on Hindi literature, Mahabharata etc.
The competition was held on September 25, 2021. The dispute session was between two parties, one with the motion and the other against the motion. They had to debate on a given topic in a given time interval. The top 3 teams were selected from all the teams participating in this competition (each team had 2 participants).
Hindi is associated with Indian culture and hence was celebrated on the last night of Hindi week with various Hindi performances by the students. At night the students were given a platform to showcase their talents in the areas of Singing (Solo/Duet) and Dance (Solo). This program was organized on 26th September, 2021 which was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all. The platform used for organising Jhankaar was MS Teams.
